Melody

I am the music of a forgotten, yet lovely memory

The melody, quiet, yet strong

The harmony, sweeter than a lullaby

It floats on the summer breeze

A distant sound

Yet stronger than a full orchestra.

I hear it, and remember

The emotions flooding back,

The tears sweeter than the roses.

Color Theory

Blue

Millions of shades

Each a different emotion

Carrying its own memories

Pale blue

Calm

An early morning breeze

The color of the dawn

Baby blankets

And forget-me-nots

The color of your eyes

Dark blue

Rich

A velvety color

The background behind the stars

Deepness

That goes on forever

Like the time until I see you

Turquoise

Fun

Swimming pools and kool-aid

Summer times

Jolly Rancher-colored tongues

Days that stretch on beyond sight

Memories of time spent with you

Unnamable blue

Welcoming

The exact center of the sky

Grandmas china

And morning glories

Innocent times

The hope that you wont have changed

Grey blue

Lonely

The color of clouds on a damp day

Dreary rooms

In a chilly old house

How Ill feel until I see you

Blue

Millions of shades

Each a different emotion

Carrying its own memories

Note

These next few pieces were written over a year ago, but sometimes I can't help but wonder if I maybe psychic. They echo a current situation in a very eerie fashion, though there was no way I could have known the future, especially with all the changes that have occured in the past twelve months.
Sometimes, I just don't get myself.

Curiosity Part 2

That curiosity which once denied me the happiness,
which at the time, I believed
I so rightly deserved,
Has reversed the role it played
mending the heart it once broke.

Untitled 1

Perhaps those blue eyes which once froze the merrily flowing cerulean stream inside my own, now hold the keys to luring Spring back into my heart, unlocking my tongue so I may speak that which has been frozen inside through this everlasting winter.

Explanation.

This is a place for me to show the world my writing, poetry and art.
This is not a place for others to steal my work and pass it off as their own.
If you'd like to use what I post on here, just talk to me and explain what you'd like to use it for. Most of the time, as long as you give credit, I'll be willing to share.
It takes a lot to make me mad. Just be polite and I'll be fine.

Feedback would be amazing.
